Puppy Information

Here at Effingham Retrievers, we consider everyone family. Once you buy a puppy, you will always be apart of our Effingham Retriever family. Here is some information you can use when purchasing a puppy from us. 

- Deposit: IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A PUPPY, YOU CAN BE BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST FOR PLANNED LITTERS; IF WHAT YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR IS NOT PRODUCED, YOU WILL BE REFUNDED OR YOU CAN PUSH YOUR DEPOSIT TO ANOTHER LITTER. Once Puppies are born, we will keep everyone updated so they can pick their puppy in the correct order of their deposits made. Picking of the puppy will be made as soon as they born, and we can help you pick exactly what you're looking for from size, personality and color/sex. Puppy pick will be by the color of their collar. Once you have decided which puppy you want, depending on the litter/parents/colors, your $300 non-refundable deposit to hold your puppy until pickup will be deducted from the total pricing. Your puppy will always wear that color collar and they will go home with it (unless told otherwise like siblings chewing it). We ONLY refund deposits if something unfortunate happens to the puppy in our care OR instead of deposit refund, we allow you to pick a different pup (if available) OR hold your deposit until a future litter. Refunds on puppies ARE NOT required from us, we will work with you if you cannot keep the puppy or need to find a new home.  The remaining balance will be due upon puppy pick up. Deposits are to be made via square through our business forms. 

We DO NOT allow home visits AT THIS TIME due to puppy safety and our family's safety. We do offer pictures/videos throughout their process of growing. We are working hard on building a facility for buyers to be able to come and see babies, but until then, please be kind and courteous as we are working as hard as we can.

- Pick Up: Puppy pickup will be between 8 weeks old; Puppies will go home with a puppy packet including; a collar, a toy, puppy food, treats, and puppy pads. We ask that the final payment of the puppy be paid in CASH ONLY.

- Pricing: 

  • LIMITED REGISTRATION $1000
  • FULL REGISTRATION $1500
  • FULL REGISTRATION CAN ALWAYS BE PURCHASED AT A LATER DATE IF YOU PURCHASED LIMITED REGISTRATION. If you have not registered your dog it will be $500 to purchase full registration. If you have registered, there will be an additional $100 charge due to use having to change paperwork and contact AKC to get paperwork arranged.
