🎓 Effingham Retrievers Scholarships

Our scholarship program has a different purpose, but it comes from the same desire to help where a little bit of support can make a very big difference. Our goal is to help approximately three students each semester who are attending a junior or community college. By focusing on schools where tuition isn't as high, the money raised can stretch fartherand potentially help several students instead of providing one large scholarship to only one person.

We also recognize that everyone's path through college looks different. Some students are beginning college for the first time, while others may be returning after life got in the way, trying again after things didn't work out the first time, changing careers, supporting a family while attending school, or simply trying to create a better future for themselves. For someone in that position, $500 can make an enormous difference. It could help cover tuition, books, required supplies, fees, or another educational expense that might otherwise stand between that student and another semester. We want these scholarships to be a helping hand for students who are working toward something better and could genuinely benefit from a little help getting there. 🎓❤️

🐶🐱 Animal Shelter Giving

Our animal shelter donation drive is designed to help shelters with the supplies they truly need. All physical items purchased from our Amazon donation list will be shipped directly to us at Effingham Retrievers, where we will collect and organize everything before distributing it. If we receive enough support, our goal is to divide the donations among up to three different animal shelters, allowing one community donation drive to reach even more animals in need.

We also have an Amazon Shelter Gift Fund for needs that may not be represented on our original list. Before distributing the donations, we plan to contact the shelters directly and ask them, "What do you need the most right now?" Maybe they're running low on a particular type of food, puppy or kitten supplies, cat litter, cleaning products, bedding, bowls, or something completely different. Contributions made to the Amazon Shelter Gift Fund can then be used to order those requested supplies through Amazon. Instead of trying to predict every possible need ahead of time, this allows the shelters themselves to tell us where our help would be most useful. Every bag of food, blanket, cleaning supply, toy, Amazon contribution, and donated item adds up, and we're hoping to turn that supportinto deliveries for as many as three shelters. 🐾❤️

🎄 The Santa Paws Project

Our Santa Paws Project is focused on making Christmas a little brighter for as many people as we possibly can.Donations will be used to fulfill wishes from Angel Trees and similar Christmas assistance programs, and we plan to choose recipients of all ages, including little kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. Sometimes a child's Christmas wish is a toy they've been dreaming about, while a teenager or senior may simply be asking for things many of us use every day, such as body wash, deodorant, a warm robe, bedroom shoes, clothing, or other basic necessities. Our goal is that when we pull a wish list, we don't have to choose just one or two things from it. We want to purchase everything they're asking for whenever we possibly can.

Our Santa Paws Amazon list includes items supporters can purchase directly, along with three Amazon contribution funds. We won't know exactly what every person is asking for until we begin selecting Angel Tree wishes, which iswhy we've included these funds. If we pull a wish and discover that someone needs something that isn't already on our Amazon list, contributions to the funds allow us to purchase those additional items through Amazon. This could be a particular toy, clothing size, pair of shoes, hygiene product, household necessity, or something we simply couldn't anticipate beforehand. The more support Santa Paws receives, the more Angel Tree wishes we hope to pull and completely fulfill. ❤️
